No, not a tragic accident, but merely an incredible acoustic session from rocketing UK star Adelle.
On her debut I wasn't an Adelle fan, and thought she lacked personality and edge - "should I give up or should I just keep walking pavements" was played to D.E.A.T.H. here in the UK - but I'm big enough to admit when I'm wrong.
First up, a huge soulful barrage of a song Adelle performs Rolling In The Deep, with such power and conviction you cannot argue with her star talent.
From that Adelle goes on to work her magic on none other that Cheryl Cole's Promise This. BBC1's LiveLounge are noted for getting unusal cover versions from their guests, and this is no acception. The first 1:15 of the song is beautiful with a very gospel feel, and makes me see the lyrics to the song in a completely different light - this could have been a Motown or soul classic - but as soon as that God-awful "Alouette" comes in it ruins the song.
Either way, praise be to Adelle for a stunning LiveLounge session. I will deffinately be downloading my copy of 21 today.
